X-Rays, also known as radiographs, are one of the most common forms of diagnostics available. This process consists of electromagnetic radiation that allows for precise imaging of the inside of the body. The most common reason for x-rays is to diagnose fractures. However, there are many other situations, such as within a mammogram, that requires the use of an x-ray. They require use of a very low amount of radiation, so it is an extremely safe form of diagnostic imaging. Many conditions may be easily diagnosed after a quick x-ray. These processes usually take 10 – 20 mins and a copy of your x-ray may be given to you on a CD for no extra cost.

Being one of the most tried and true formulas of catching issues within the body, the x-ray is a great procedure to have done. No special preparation is required before the x-rays begin. However, you may be asked to remove any jewelry or other metals that may interfere with the results of the x-ray. If you have more questions, feel free to contact us about x-rays immediately!
